pcmanx-gtk2 software package provides user-friendly telnet client mainly targets BBS users, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pcmanx-gtk2
pcmanx-gtk2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pcmanx-gtk2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pcmanx-gtk2 *
You will get with pcmanx-gtk2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
